THE CHALLENGE
An Arabic publication accumulates a body of work that becomes progressively harder to use. Articles, portraits, and recurring sections pile up with no structure connecting them. Readers arriving from search land on one piece and leave. Nothing surfaces the argument the publication has been building across years.
The other problem is Arabic discoverability. Arabic-language SEO gets a fraction of the tooling English does, and an editorial team shouldn't have to become search specialists to be found.
THE APPROACH
How we approached it
Multiple content types — articles, columnists, portraits, "nawafith," "fawasel" — each with their own structure, tied together by a search that reaches across titles, tags, keywords, and excerpts in one query.
Dossiers are the editorial layer: curated collections with their own accent colour, responsive banner images with clickable hotspots, and adjustable overlay opacity so a strong photograph carries the design instead of being buried under a colour block. Articles, portraits, and other content types can be arranged inside a dossier directly.
AI handles the parts of publishing that are real work but not writing: secondary keyword generation and FAQ schema, with a live SEO score so an editor sees the effect of a change while making it. Source management keeps citations as proper links. Revision history covers every content type, and published pieces stay editable.
A newsletter pulls the full range of content types. A private analytics view shows article views, allows manual override of counts, and reorders content by weekly readership.
